Facebook User Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: 27 August 2026
These instructions explain how to stop AI Sync's access to your Meta/Facebook data and how to request deletion of Meta Platform Data that AI Sync has already stored. No account or login is required to submit a request.
What AI Sync may have stored
Depending on the permissions granted when the connection was authorized, AI Sync may hold access tokens, Page and ad account identifiers, campaign, ad set, ad and creative records, insights and analytics figures, Lead Form definitions, and lead submissions including the contact details a person entered into those forms. It may also hold operational logs of the API calls and deliveries made for that connection.
Step 1 — Disconnect AI Sync from Meta/Facebook
Removing the integration stops any further access immediately.
- Log in to Facebook and open your account Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Select Apps and Websites (personal accounts) or Business Integrations.
- Find AI Sync in the list of active integrations.
- Choose Remove (or View and edit first if you only want to narrow specific permissions).
- Confirm the removal.
For Business accounts, the same integration can also be removed from Meta Business Suite under Settings → Business assets / Integrations. Removing the integration revokes the tokens, but it does not by itself erase data AI Sync already retrieved — complete Step 2 for that.
Step 2 — Request deletion of stored data
Email privacy@anisync.link with the subject line “Facebook Data Deletion Request” and include:
- The email address associated with the AI Sync account or connection.
- Your Facebook/Meta user ID, if you know it, and the Page or ad account IDs involved, if applicable.
- What you want deleted — everything associated with the connection, or specific data such as lead records from a particular form.
- Any detail that helps us locate the right records, such as the approximate date the integration was authorized.
If you are requesting deletion of lead information submitted about someone else, tell us the relationship so we can route the request correctly.
Step 3 — What happens next
- Acknowledgement. We aim to confirm receipt within a few business days.
- Verification. We verify that the request comes from someone entitled to make it. We may ask for additional information to match the request to a connection. We only use what you send for verification and for handling the request.
- Deletion or de-identification. We delete the applicable Meta Platform Data from our production systems, or de-identify it where a record must be kept for operational integrity. Backups age out on their normal cycle and are not restored to reintroduce deleted data.
- Confirmation. We reply to confirm what was deleted or de-identified and note anything that had to be retained, with the reason.
Where AI Sync processed the data on behalf of a customer (for example an agency that configured the connection), we will act on that customer's instruction and will tell you that the request has been passed to them.
Limits on deletion
A limited amount of information may be retained where we are legally required to keep it, where it is needed to establish or defend legal claims, or where it exists in security and audit logs that record that an action occurred. Retained records are kept only as long as the obligation lasts and are not used for any other purpose.
